About Urban Optics
Urban Optics is the brainchild of Optometrist Dr. Dave Schultz and his wife Laurie. They opened up shop almost 30 years ago, and haven’t looked back since. Located in picturesque downtown San Luis Obispo, Urban Optics looks more like a gallery than an optometric office. The storefront displays an exclusive selection of unique eyewear, and the custom interior has won architectural awards and appeared in national publications. Home to frame collections such as SALT, L.A. Eyeworks, BEVEL, Barton Perreira, Garrett Leight and more, Urban Optics is where vision and style collide.
Our team is here to serve you, and send you off in style. Step into Urban Optics and see the difference. The staff of eyewear experts will you give you their full and undivided attention while selecting the perfect frame for you and your prescription. We encourage you to make a fashion statement with your eyewear.
